    1 The Future - Bydda

    Bydda i
is a form of bod - “I will be”

Wna i is a form of gwneud - “I will do”

Both are used to talk about actions in the future. Wna i is more commonly used to indicate an action or intention that will be carried out at a a specific time.

e.g. Wna i deithio i Caerdydd yfory. = I will be travelling to Cardiff tomorrow.

Bydda i is more commonly used to reference actions which will be ongoing or continuous at some point in the future.

e.g. Bydda i'n aros yn y gwesty ar y pryd. = I'll be staying at the hotel at the time.

In this lesson we will concentrate on the 'bydda' form of the future tense.
