The beating heart of Snowdonia

Category: Snowdonia
Duration: 00:01:50
Description:
We shot this film to promote our 'Welsh Hill Farming Event' and our tours of

Snowdonia and Anglesey, Wales. But the film is also a celebration of how the people

of Snowdonia are promoting local products and sustainable living. It's all part of the

thriving local initiatives dedicated to the history, people and culture of the area.

Location of the film is Dinas, above Llanfairfechan, which used to be a Celtic dwelling

settlement. Look carefully and you will see the traces of their round houses.

The film also shows the area of the 'snow disaster of March 2013', and where the

BBC 2 Wales programme 'The Hill Farm' was shot. And there are spectacular views

of the Carneddau Mountains, the Menai Straits and Anglesey.

The village of Llanfairfechan has lead by example showing energy and enthusiasm; Y

Felinheli, another village on the Menai Straits is starting to follow and on Anglesey we

have 'Gorau Môn/Best of Anglesey' being created to promote local products.
