Mae Ifan yn gweithio mewn swyddfa mewn adeilad tal yng nghanol y ddinas. Mae e'n gweithio o ddydd Llun i ddydd Gwener ond weithiau mae cyfle i wneud goramser ar ddydd Sadwrn. Fel arfer mae'r diwrnod yn dechrau am 9 o'r gloch yn y bore ac yn gorffen am 5 o'r gloch yn y prynhawn. Mae e'n codi am 8 o'r gloch yn y bore. Mae e'n cael cawod ac wedyn mae e'n bwyta brecwast – grawnfwyd, tost, sudd oren a phaned o goffi du. Ar ôl brecwast mae e'n gwylio'r newyddion ar y teledu cyn gadael y tŷ. Mae Ifan yn hoffi seiclo ac mae e'n seiclo i'r gwaith bob dydd. Mae e'n byw yn agos at ganol y ddinas ac mae hi'n cymryd dim ond 5 munud i gyrraedd y swyddfa.

Mae Ifan yn gyfrifol am wefan a chyfryngau cymdeithasol y cwmni. Mae e'n treulio'r rhan fwyaf o'i amser o flaen cyfrifiadur ond dyw e ddim yn gweithio ar ei ben ei hunan. Mae e'n rhannu ystafell gyda 4 person eraill ac weithau mae e'n mynd i gyfarfodydd ac mae cyfarfod staff llawn bob dydd Mawrth. Mae Ifan wedi bod yn gweithio i'r cwmni am 3 blynedd ond mae e wedi bod yn meddwl am wneud cais am swydd arall mewn cwmni arall. Dyw e ddim yn anhapus yn ei swydd bresennol ond mae'r cwmni arall yn fwy gyda mwy o gyfleoedd i ddatblygu ei yrfa - ac mae'r swydd arall yn talu mwy!

Mae Ifan eisiau prynu beic newydd felly mae e'n trio arbed arian. Er mwyn trio arbed ychydig o arian dyw e ddim yn bwyta cinio yn y cantîn yn yr adeilad a dyw e ddim yn prynu bwyd yn un o'r caffis yn yr ardal o gwmpas ei swyddfa. Mae e'n paratoi pecyn bwyd yn y nos ar gyfer y diwrnod nesa – brechdanau, reis neu basta a ffrwythau (oren neu afal). Amser cinio mae e'n hoffi mynd i'r parc rownd y gornel i fwyta gyda chyd-weithwyr o'r swyddfa.

This is the second in a new series of revision translation exercises written by Matt Spry ( Eisteddfod Welsh Language Learner 2018). These exercises utilize the vocabulary and grammar that you have already learned on the Croeseiriau Cymraeg course so far. There may be one or two words that you are unfamiliar with but you can always look them up. There will be six exercises in the series when complete.

As you can see above the English and Welsh texts are on separate tabs SO you can translate from Welsh to English or vice versa. You can also use the Welsh text as a reading and comprehension exercise if you don't feel fully confident to translate it straight off the bat. We are sure that this resource will prove invaluable however you decide to use it. Mwynhewch!

Ifan works in an office in a tall building in the city centre. He works from Monday to Friday but sometimes has the opportunity to do overtime on Saturdays. The day usually starts at 9 o'clock in the morning and finishes at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. He gets up at 8 o'clock in the morning. He has a shower and then eats breakfast - cereal, toast, orange juice and a cup of black coffee. After breakfast he watches the news on television before leaving the house. Ifan likes to cycle and he cycles to work every day. He lives close to the city center and it takes just 5 minutes to get to the office.

Ifan is responsible for the company's website and social media. He spends most of his time in front of a computer but does not work alone. He shares a room with 4 other people and sometimes he goes to meetings and there is a full staff meeting every Tuesday. Ifan has been working for the company for 3 years but has been thinking of applying for another job at another company. He's not unhappy in his current job but the other company is bigger with more career development opportunities - and the other job pays more!

Ifan wants to buy a new bike so he is trying to save money. I order to try and save a bit of money he doesn't eat lunch in the canteen in the building and doesn't buy food in one of the cafes in the area around his office. He prepares a packed lunch at night for the next day - sandwiches, rice or pasta and fruit (an orange or apple). At lunchtime he likes to go to the park around the corner to eat with co-workers from the office.
