This happens every year... carbon-neutral conservation at work. Left to it's own devices the gorse would spread all over the open mountain, becoming impenetrable to both humans and grazing animals. Then tree seedlings would take over & pretty soon instead of open moorland there'd be forrest.
Music is myself playing Capel y Ddol - a traditional Welsh hymn tune. Multitracked bacbib, pibau cyrn and horned clarinet - a kind of bass pibgorn cross between a diatonic keyless clarinet and a pibgorn.
