If women have a mid-life crisis it would explain why I got a tattoo last year.

well, if you never grow up, you never have to have a mid-life crisis! I am reminded of the saying on a t-shirt me mum gave me for a birthday: I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up!

From Wikipedia on Mid-life crisis...Midlife crisis is a term used in Western societies to describe a period of dramatic self-doubt that is felt by some individuals in the "middle years" of life, as a result of sensing the passing of youth and the imminence of old age. Sometimes, transitions experienced in these years, such as aging in general, menopause, the death of parents, or children leaving home, can trigger such a crisis. The result may be a desire to make significant changes in core aspects of day to day life or situation, such as in career, marriage, or romantic relationships. They exhibit some of these behaviors:abuse of alcoholconspicuous consumption -- acquisition of unusual or expensive items such as clothing, sports cars , jewellery, gadgets, tattoos, piercings, motorbikes, etc.depressionpaying special attention to physical appearancetrying to attach themself to a youth-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Me...I think that went through my mid-life crisis in my mid thirties.

Ha, Dave, you should be a national treasure butt.My old man, he did nortons and bsa s as his form of transport for most of the post war period but as a family man in the 60s as soon as the income was there, he went for 4 wheels and frowned upon his boys on motorbikes although two of us out of the four did have bikes. I played with it but I lacked the bottle for the road to be honest, though I had abundance in the boxing ring, rugby field and troublespots all over the world. The other brother still rides in his 50s but also has a caravan which should tell you a lot eh, haha.Stay safe Dave boy.Gaz

hardley davidsons he should set his sites higher
Sorry to step in on this male discussion but it is interesting how this means motorcycles for so many men! It certainly does around here. My brother has decided to chuck it all and go to Arizona to go to school to become a Harley factory certified mechanic and spend the rest of his life working on other people's bikes and building his own and so we're all working out how we can help him make that happen.

It came to me like a flash, as I was examining large powerful and expensive motorcycles.Be you Welsh, American or Lithuanian or whatever, outside of the third world, if you are male you are going to live long enough to encounter this to varying degrees. And that is exactly why it exists, we live long enough. Here is my super duper theory right, pay attention!Modern developments have been too quick for evolution to cope. A couple of hundred thousand years becomes a default setting. 35 was our life expectancy for ever such a long time, so as we hunters approach the 40s we are bemused and confused! and start acting strangely.I remember thinking to myself when I hit 40 (which is only two years ago I hasten to add ladies!) HOW and WHY the F*** Am I still kicking????????????Anyways, on a site that does have a little leaning towards the over 40ish, I am sure to get some good feedback to my theory. As always. Come on Uncle Dave and Pricey, you are my heroes who ve smashed through it to become bigger and better men. Inspiration boys.
