The Tree of Life - Y Goeden Bywyd
The ancients envisioned the entire cosmos in the form of a tree whose roots grow deep in the ground, branches reaching high into the heavens.
The interlacing branches symbolize a Celtic belief in the Continuity of Life.
Reverence for Trees is at the heart of Celtic spirituality. Within Celtic tradition, the Druids are said to have worshipped and held their teaching centers amongst the ancient groves. The words for wood & wisdom are similar Welsh, gwydd and gwyddon.
