Hahaha, Swansea and Ceri! Thank you, Brett! The moon was actually the most awesome part of the show. Our house is midway down a hill and at the top, you can see from Oregon City to Vancouver, Washington and see about four major fireworks displays and many small ones popping up. This shot was fireworks from Oaks Park, across the river. Just as it was getting started, Ceri realized we didn't have the camera and ran down the hill to get it for me but of course would never have thought of the tripod. While he was gone this thread of burning orange appeared on the foothills of the Cascade range in the SW sky, getting brighter and bigger and then turning into a dome that grew and grew until it began to round and popped up over the mountains, beautiful!
