In 1881 William John Roberts (Gwilym Cowlyd) granted the right to convene Gorseddau in 'New Wales' and in 'Welsh colonies' all over the world to Griffith Griffiths (Gutyn Ebrill) of Patagonia.]
Translation:
'The Welsh Principality's chair for poetry. The Gorsedd of the Bards of Britain. This is to certify that Griffith Griffiths ('Gutyn Ebrill') is an attested chaired bard and competent licensee of the Gorsedd of Bards of Great Britain, with right and authority to establish and hold a Gorsedd for music and poetry according to the rights and ceremony of the Bards of Britain on the banks of the River Camwy in the New Wales, or in any other Welsh colony throughout the whole world' .An interesting document which was signed by Owen Gethin Jones, 'Scorpion', and 'Gwilym Cowlyd', 1881.
