With a heart for love, a diamond for prosperity, and three captive rings, representing eternity, and 3 people/years together/ or other interpretations, this lovespoon is a nod to the common panel style seen throughout the history of Welsh lovespoons. My interpretation, however, rather than being flat, and about 1/4” thick, is arced both from side to side, and along its whole length, and almost dangerously thin. At 13” long, that was a challenging long curve, especially with three captive rings around the neck.
