Romeo and Juliet
Photo of the marquee at the Miller Performing Arts Center in Jefferson City. My daughter, the character "Nurse" (lower right), was in the play this weekend. I heard one 10 year old critic tell his mum as he exited the auditorium that he liked everything about the 400 year-old play except the ending. He's not alone. At one point in the play's history, a revised version of the ending was written and performed for about 100 years. But eventually, the original version (which we all love to hate) came back into fashion.
