It seems to me that the UK could solve the problem of having its flag inadvertently flown "upside down" by well-intentioned but ignorant outsiders with a simple addition to the manufacturer's label. You know the one---the label that says "Made In China;" They should add the words "This side Up" with an arrow pointing in the right direction.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen the Union Jack flying upside down here in America. And the truth is: No offense is or was intended! It's just that most Americans don't realize there's an up or down on the Union Jack.

I think that 'y ddraig goch o cymru' shoud be on the Union Jack somewhere. All the other countires are represented except Wales. Perhaps the dragon could be put in one corner.

I was interested to see on The Story of Wales last night that Henry VII (when he was still only Bolingbroke) had a red dragon flag very like the one we have today (and Harold's) but the dragon was breathing fire too. I rather like that idea!
