The Instrument of Consent is the official notification by the Queen that William and Catherine can be married. On the right hand side, you can see the Welsh leek and the Welsh Dragon. The lily on the right is the symbol of St Catherine.
Whoever is dealing with all the PR for this event is much nearer to getting it right than ever before. It's an illusion of openness and transparency, just enough of the bland detail to keep the masses happy.
I think it's an important document for history sake.
Absolutely delighted for Glyn that Cameron has chosen to buy Glyn's book to give the Bride and Groom as a Wedding gift ... now that sort of publicity doesn't land in one's lap often.

Frankly, I don't remember seeing one of these before although I imagine the Queen must have done one for Charles. There's a sense of history about it though.
The books are an inspired gift, very thoughtful. What a shame they weren't living in Carmarthen!!
Good luck to the bride and groom.
