If found this box today in a desk drawer. It once contained Townsend's Glace Fruits (California) and the picture is of Mission San Gabriel. I thought at first that Dad must have brought it back after going to LA during his time at sea but the firm didn't open until 1947 so it must been brought over as a gift by my great uncle Eben and his wife in 1948, when they visited from California. I noticed that a similar box was sold for $15 on e-bay!
