It's a delightful place and the Harbourmaster Hotel is really nice (I've only eaten there but it has a very good reputation). The prettily-coloured houses are part of the charm.
There's a book out by Roger Bryan (he has a website under his name) called The History of Aberaeron in Pictures. I'm very tempted to send for it.

Always wanted to spend more time in Aberaeron. One of the few almost totally unspoiled coastal villages/towns in Wales. Unfortunately the only time I ever got to see it was from the window of the Traws as I was heading North on yet another walking expedition in Mid Wales or Snowdonia.
