I watched the last Pirates of the Carrabian the other night, and when they were talking about the pirates code they said it was written by Morgan and Bartholamew. five second mention in a six hour trilogy not bad for Wales.

I believe there was a pirate from the Tenby area called Leaky Porridge who plied his trade along the Welsh coast roughly during the time of the American Revolution. Great name

Just been reading about the Welsh Pirates, what a lot cut throats there were.
John Callis 1570's
Henry Morgan 1663 - 1674
Howel Davies 1718 - 1719
John Bartholamew Roberts 1719 - 1722 Most succesful Pirate of all time!!! (Black Bart)
John Evans 1723
Robert Edwards 1762
Again very few films or programes about these people. Read what Black Bart got up to, you will not believe it.
