Hi Rea...there were revolts post 1282 but none of these, despite the legitimate aspirations of the claimants , succeeded in re-establishing the Kingdom of Gwynedd or any of the other Welsh kingdoms. A monument was erected at Cilmeri in 1956 to commemorate the passing of Ein Lliw Olaf ( our last ruler ), which effectively he was. Patriots assemble there every year on the 11th to honour his memory.
Of course that wasn't the end of the story....there was always Owain Glyndwr

About a hour after I saw it I got an email from a gentleman in Canada whom I have been corresponding with on genealogy links, and he sent me this link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madog_ap_Llywelyn .How very interesting but in conflict with the video.I have always said that history, in most cases is never recorded incorrectly, just incompletely. We may never know but we will keep looking for sure.Have a great Holiday season.Rea
