It is hard to believe that Heritage Days/WELSHfest 2013 is a little over 100 days from now! Are you ready?  | |  Gwirfoddolwyr ANGEN! Volunteers NEEDED! Heritage Days/WELSHfest needs your help to be a success! We need folks who can staff booths, answer questions, sell ad space in the program, type or word process, dress in period costume, be a tour guide, help set up booths, meet & greet our vendors, preformers, and our guests, "Dysgwch cwrs bach ar babell y dysgwr" - Teach a mini course at the Learner's Tent and/or learn a Welsh Greeting. A more developed booth area for local crafts people, vendors, groupsand organizationshas beenplanned for this year's festival: Ffermwyr Marchnad Ffres a Lleol (Fresh & Local Farmer's Market), Yr Ardal Hanes (The History Area), Celf a Chrefft Parth (Art & Crafts Zone), Pabell Gwybodaeth (Information Tent) and a special area that could only be called: " Mae'r Bythau Heb eu Diffinio" . The Festival assigns boothsfirst paid/first assignedand maintains anon competiveproduct model for its booths. Booths Already Assigned: The "Mae'r Cynnig ar Brechdan a Chacen Bwth" ( The try a sandwich and a cake booth) will be the only food booth and will be run by the Euharlee Valley Historical Society and the St. David's Welsh Society. Diodydd Meddal (soft drinks) will be sold by the Boy Scout troop Dwr Ffynnon Potel ( bottled springwater) will be sold by the Rockmart Historical Museum. Y Pum Eglwysi Hanesyddol Llechi (The 5 Historic Slate Churches) The 5 Historic Slate Churches, Church of Christ, 1st Baptist, United Methodist, Presbyterian and Wesley Chapel AME, have been asked to participate, along with the VanWert Chapel,in this year's festival Gwyl Ffilm Hanesyddol (Historic Film Festival) 1) A ser ies of Black & White 'shorts' from Rockmart in the 1950's will be shown during the day in the Rockmart Historical Museum conference room. 2) A series of Welsh Language 'shorts' produced by S4C, the Welsh Language TV Station, including children's programs, will be shown. | | Diwrnod o Gerddoriaeth A Day of Music | |  Gymanfa Ganu (Singing Festival) The Rockmart Community Chorus will return again this year to present a concert, on the steps of the Rockmart Historical Museum, of favorite Welsh Hymns (sung in English)and will end will end their concert leading the audience in singing the Great Welsh Hymn "Cwm Rhondda" (Guide me, O Thou Great Redeemer) in both English and Welsh! |  Mae'r Ffurflenni Band Ballybeg ! The Ballybeg Band Returns! North Georgia's Premier Celtic Band returns to Rockmart to perform an afternoon of Welsh and other celtic traditional music on the steps of the Museum. Iago Dunning will lead the band and audience in singing Daffyd Iwan's Welsh Patriotic Anthem: Yma O Hyd (We're Still Here) as the musicalfinally of the day. | | Mwy o ganu a dawnsio a gynlluniwyd...
