SCRANTON TOURS

One of the highlights of any NAFOW is the tours organised by local volunteers. This year is no exception. Indeed there is a feast of nectared sweets on offer

Tours

By coach or on foot, experience America's first city to be electrified, visit the Steamtown National Historic Site, descend 300 feet into the Lackawanna Coal Mine and explore the lives of early Welsh Americans who settled in western PA.

Additionally on Saturday, September 1st, the ceremony held each year commemorating those who died in the Avondale Mine disaster of 1869,will be held at Washburn Street Cemetary, (located approx. 2 miles from the Hilton.). Carpooling options are being explored for those who would like to attend. Questions? contact:-
