As a primary school teacher himself, Paul Manship credits his experiences in the classroom as inspiration for much of his work. Paul lives with his wife and three daughters in Rhiwderin near Newport. His previous three novels have been very well received. His debut Rewind was short listed for the Glen Dimplex Children's Book Award 2006, and his second The Cube was selected for the 2008 School Library Associations Boys into Books Initiative. In 2010 Dear Mr Author won the Welsh Books Councils Tir na n-Og Award for the best English Language Book of the Year.
