Granny Jones Organic Flaming Pagan Puddings are based on the traditional Christmas Puddings Sacha "Stiggly" Jones grew up with in Wales. Using her Gran's recipe (with a few twists), these rich, hearty, ceremonial desserts are made up of fruit, nuts, spices, whiskey, rum, ale, brown sugar, flour and eggs. Stiggly has been carrying on this tradition of the flaming pudding in NYC for 20+ years now - making and selling a limited edition each year. Each pudding has a coin or two hidden within. Tradition holds that the finder of the coins will enjoy good luck for the upcoming year! Make a wish!
Puddings are $30 each + shipping, via Paypal, available in the United States. Puddings will be shipped after Thanksgiving weekend. Contact details: Sacha Jones holistichealthnyc@gmail.com http://stiggly.squarespace.com/pagan-puddings/

Award-winning Welsh-language travelogue now available in English The winner of the Welsh-language Book of the Year Award 2010, Wales: the 100 places to see before you die, has now been translated into English. From Anglesey to Monmouthshire, from Pembrokeshire to Flintshire, historian John Davies and photographer Marian Delyth have travelled the length and breadth of Wales, taking us on a journey around the familiar, and the not so familiar places dotted around Wales.John Davies has delved into the background and gleaned some interesting facts about 100 diverse places which are worth visiting for a day or maybe two. Marian Delyth went out in all weathers to capture over 500 magical images for the eye.The obvious places, of course, are mentioned: St Fagans, the National Botanic Garden, Portmeirion, Llangollen and St Davids; important sites which are cared for by CADW, such as Castell Coch, Carreg Cennen Castle, Pentre Ifan and Caerwent. But John Davies discovered some other gems too which are worth making a detour to visit, such as Llananno, Ewenny and Parys Mountain. And its not just the history of rural spots that he found intriguing, but some of the more traditionally industrial areas such as Merthyr Tydfil and the Rhondda.Published by Y Lolfa, Wales: the100 places to see before you die provides, as John Davies notes, an opportunity to realise how lucky we are to live in Wales... a country that is totally diverse and boasts many achievements of man and woman which is the main focus of this book. The publication is 324 pages, published in hardback only and contains 500 photographs by experienced photographer, Marian Delyth.
