We have for some time been featuring our selection of the best and most recent Anglo-Welsh literature. Today we decided to supplement this with our new "Album of the Month" feature. To nominate your choice for best new Welsh album each month please join the Welsh Music Group and leave your suggestion on the comment wall.

We are very happy to announce that our first selection is "Catraeth" by Taran currently available for download from Amazon. We urge all our members to support the band and buy your copy now. In our humble opinion this is as fine a musical offering as we are likely to hear all year.

The Coast-2-Coast USA boys, including our own members Gareth Evans and Andy Edwards, are on their way to starting their cycling trip across the southern continental US.Show them your support with pledges and, if you're on their route - especially at the end in St Augustine, Florida - turn out and welcome them, put them up or feed them or just buy them a beer! From their blog : A last Hurrah for the 'Tw o Fat Cyclists' at The New Three Mariners, Laugharne. Match funding by Barclays Bank means there will be a lot of money raised for the charity - not sure how much yet.New songs found the large drunk audience singing along. 'Fulsom Prison Blu es' and ' Daydream Believer ' seemed to really oil the inebriated voices of the clientele. So much so that they wanted to create their own set list with impromptu renderings of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' in respect of the landlords' favourite football team's dismal performance against Liverpool and 'A Horse with No Name' for no reason at all except for the pub singer from Ants Hill Caravan Park knowing the lyrics!Phil and I, cleverly tried to follow Rhys' fingers through a very drunken 'Good Riddance' . Rhys, aswell as Phil and myself, eventually gave up the gig as the crowd got drunker and took no interest in the dulcet tones of of 'The Two F at Cyclists' . Thank you Richard for all your help. yesterday i bounded up the moss-covered, concrete steps up the hill to our porch as is my habit, caught my toe on a step and sprawled full length on the stairs, threw out a hand to stop my nose from smashing on a concrete step and broke my f'ing right wrist. i get a cast and ceri gets to learn to cook. the children wait impatiently to get to paint on the cast. hopefully, this shouldn"t slow us down any.

ROMA COMA

By Ian Price2, 2009-03-16
The Welsh side in Italy didn't exactly inspire. In fact they looked pretty amateurish on times. Italy weren't sparkling either but they flattered to deceive. This was s a second string Welsh side that had better be changed for Ireland on Saturday next. The British and Irish Lions side will be announced soon so look out for a bruising encounter on the 21st.On a side note. What the hell is Gavin Henson doing. He's rapidly becoming the Johnny Wilkinson of Wales; injured or on paternity leave or unfit or drinking tea in Mrs Miggins pie shop - any excuse will do but the media play him up as though he were a god.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Il lato di Lingua gallese in Italia non ha ispirato esattamente.

In your face Welsh car magnets!

By mona everett, 2009-03-15

Hi,I have about a half dozen of these great magnets and am willing to part with them for $10, which includes US shipping. I have one on my car and get lots of (positive) comments on it. They are approx. 8 x 10 inches. Email me if you want one (or more) and I will send you my address. I can get more once these are gone, so I will keep a list.I also have a couple that say, "Put the Cymraeg back in 'Cwm Rhondda'" and "Cymru Am Byth! Wales Forever!" Same deal. Thanks!Mona

Now we can all have an AmeriCymru toolbar on our browsers - just one click to go to the site, the blog, the Welsh calendar, the Welsh Web Ring, and MORE!

1. Go to this link to download it: http://AmericymruToolbar.OurToolbar.com/ 2. Click on the big button which says download and it will download.3. Restart your browser to see it.You can choose from different styles, the super simple I picked above (for those of us with tons o' toolbars as it is) or something more pleasantly aesthetic, like this:

Enjoy! Bravo, Ceri!

Traditional Welsh Costume

By Janice, 2009-03-15
I would like to thank all of those who emailed me with information about where I could get a Traditional Welsh Costume to wear in the upcoming St. Pat's parade, and other events that the A.W.A. participated. I ended up making my own which surprisingly wasn't too difficult nor costly. Here is the end result, plus I had enough material to make one for my niece. Thanks for all the input!
