@ Prince Charles Quay, Aberteifi/Cardigan
Attendees: @Meg Evans Smith, @Carolynn Anderson, @Val White, @gaabi, @Ceri Shaw, @Rowan O'Neill
A performance event to celebrate Cardigan's maritime heritage and history of emigration inspired by the Simon and Garfunkel song So Long Frank Lloyd Wright.
The 8th June is the birth date of the world renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It is believed that Anna Lloyd Jones, Frank Lloyd Wright's mother, emigrated to America on a boat that left Cardigan in 1844.
On the 8th June 2010 a number of choirs will meet on the Prince Charles Quay in Cardigan to sing for 20 minutes each. They will sing songs of the sea, songs about travelling, trade, emigration, leaving, loss, longing, home and return. In total the event will last seven hours, the time it would take to fly from Cardigan to New York today.
This free public art event is being curated by Rowan O'Neill, co-funded by Safle with the financial support of the Arts Council of Wales and is part of Cardigan's 900th anniversary celebrations.

Digwyddiad i ddathlu etifeddiaeth arforol Aberteifi a'i hanes o allfudo wedi ysbrydoli gan y gân So Long Frank Lloyd Wright gan Simon & Garfunkel.
Dyddiad geni'r pensaer enwog Frank Lloyd Wright yw'r 8fed o Fehefin. Cred llawer bod Anna Lloyd Jones, Mam Frank Lloyd Wright wedi ymfudo i America ar long a adawodd porthladd Aberteifi yn 1844.
Ar yr 8fed o Fehefin bydd nifer o gorau yn cwrdd ar Gei Tywysog Siarl yn Aberteifi i ganu am ugain munud yr un. Bydd y corau yn canu caneuon ynglŷn â'r môr, teithio, masnach, allfudo, hiraeth, cartref, colled, ffarwelio, dychwelyd a dod yn ôl. Bydd y digwyddiad yn para saith awr - yr amser mae'n cymryd i hedfan i Efrog Newydd o Aberteifi heddiw.
Digwyddiad celf gyhoeddus sy'n cael ei guradu gan Rowan O'Neill, gyd-gyllido gan Safle gyda chymorth ariannol Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru. Rhan o ddathliadau Aberteifi 2010 - nawcanmlwyddiant y dref.
