it is a lovely place indeed and i know the youth hostel, sometimes our work experience people or riders looking for a bed for their horse and thence themselves have stayed there...it is literally 5 minutes drive from here. looks like i willhave to dig out some more pictures of the area. the mountain road at the end of our lane is the one that goes across to brynamman if you know it at all. have to say i have worn out several pairs of wellies and boots since living here. it is 10 minutes to a bridleway that takes you up on to that mountain and you feel like you are on top of the world.

I remember walking that ridge a few times from Glyntawe to the Youth Hostel in Llanddeusant. Theres a great circular walking route inJohn and Anne Nuttall's - 'The Mountains of England And Wales'. Many thanks for the pic....just looking through my old collection of hill-walking books now. Instant nostalgia:)
