Penblwydd Hapus i chi! Happy Birthday to you! May your day be full of good friends and family, and good cheer. Pob hwyl Brian/|\
Great to see you back Nancy. Glad to hear that your husband is doing better and best of luck learning Welsh. Might I recommend our AmeriCymraeg online Welsh class? https://americymru.net/americymru/blog/4336/online-welsh-class-americymraeg-new-term
Thanks for the recommendation Ceri and I will keep it in mind. Unfortunately right now due to some unexpected issues that have cropped up, we just don't have the extra as I don't have headsets of any kind, nor do I have a webcam as those are just not in our budget at this time. I have, however, bookmarked the recommended site so that I can find it again. Perhaps some day I'll be able to partake of it, but for right now, I'll just have to do what I can.to learn it from listening to what I can find on the Internet, and be very selective in what I find. Normally I learn best by listening to music and following the lyrics printed in the language that have the English translation either in their "See More" or on the screen along with the Welsh language. This may not be the best way, but until I can afford to take a class, it will have to do. I think, if I'm not mistaken the word for Thank you very murch or just thank you is Dioch yn fawr. Sorry if that's not correct. I'm trying.
Hello Everyone. It's been a while since I've had the opportunity to write. I'm still Guest (Substitute) Teaching and have been for many years. It's an election year for us and that's all I'm going to say about politics because not everyone is interested in that. Besides Guest teaching I'm also active in the Church Bell Choir and Church Choir plus I'm doing our Wednesday Night Alive program or at least the lesson part of it and out theme is Traveling through the Bible this year and possibly for the next few years.
My husband has had some health issues over the last few years but thankfully(knock on wood) nothing major this year and is doing quite well. He's even joined the Church choir and sings Bass. He has never sung in a choir before but he is enjoying it. I have always sung in a church choir since before I started school in 1955. One of my goals for the future is to learn the Welsh language (I'll pick it up quicker by listening to the music and reading/watching the lyrics in Welsh and I'm thankful fur those pieces that have both the Welsh and English lyrics. Since I also like to read, I also hope to eventually learn to read and write in the Welsh language but that will take time. Thanks to the Internet(yes, I know not everything is always accurate but some is) I can pick some of it up. plus I have a couple of Welsh learning language tapes which will also help. That's a rather large goal. One of my things on my bucket lists is to some day attend the Welsh Eisteddfod in Wales. That would be highlight for me some day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whether or not I ever get there remains to be seen, but it's a goal to try to achieve.
Thank you for the invite, I'm here ocasionally, nevertheless its good to have friends all over this world!
