Mae ymgyrch wedi dechrau i gael y parth '.cym' ar gyfer yr iaith a diwylliant Cymraeg (www.dotcym.org). Bydd yn galluogi gwefannau sydd yn Gymraeg neu am ddiwylliant Cymraeg i ddefnyddio .cym yn lle .com, .co.uk, .net, ayyb.Mae angen i'r ymgyrch ddangos fod llawer o gefnogaeth ganddynt cyn cyfarfodydd pwysig yn Llundain ac ym Mrasil mis nesaf lle bydd y corff sy'n penderfynnu pa enwau parth sy'n bodoli yn trafod os ydynt yn mynd i adael i ieithioedd a diwyllianau lleiafrifol gael eu henwau parth eu hunain.Er mwyn gwneud hyn mae angen cael miloedd i arwyddo'r ddeiseb ar y wefan.Mae'r iaith a diwylliant Catalaneg wedi cael .cat yn barod felly mae'n bwysig dangos cefnogaeth i .cym.Os ydych am weld yr iaith a diwylliant Cymraeg yn cael ei gydnabod ar y weyna:1. It will allow Welsh websites or websites about Welsh culture to use .cym instead of .com, .co.uk, .net, etc.The campaign must show that it has strong support before important meetingsin London and Brazil next month where the body responsible for deciding which domain names exist will discuss whether or not to allow minority languages and cultures to have their own domain names. In order to do this thousands of people need to sign the petition on the website.The Catalonian language and culture have managed to secure .cat already soit's important to show support for .cym.If you would like to see the Welsh language and culture acknowledged on theWorld Wide Web then:1.
