Slate Quarry Dorothea - Talysarn, Gwynedd.
This flooded slate quarry gave me the inspiration to write The Widow Makers trilogy.It is very beautiful and has a very special place in my heart. Reckoned to be one of the deepest man-made holes on the globe. Now used as a diving centre for the police and diving clubs.
