In its fifth running this race kept up it's 100% record of having superb weather and a great turnout. Over 150 runners of all ages and abilities took up the challenge this year making this a record breaking entry. The course for this race gives excellent opportunities for spectators and supporters to cheer the runners on, and taking advantage of the fantastic weather, there were crowds in abundance lining the route.The race is run on a variety of surfaces and offers something for all runners to get their teeth into. Starting on the promenade and heading south, the route circles through the harbour before taking on the first of the hill challenges. The climb up Pen Dinas is on a grass track and treats runners to outstanding views along the Ystwyth valley before reaching the Monument and descending once again to the road. Retracing their steps along the promenade runner's then face the second challenge. The rocky path climbing up Constitution Hill crosses back and forth over the cliff railway before reaching the fast final descent bringing them back to the promenade with the opportunity of a sprint finish to the end.
