A Pheasant Crossing
Voluptuous clouds burgeoned over the lush rolling hillside and cold, hard stepping stones thrust their way across the wide gap and in the distance, watching me from the wall, stood a cock pheasant, rich, sumptuous and erect. This was like a scene out of a British Ladybird Book of the Countryside!
