The neice of Napoleon who died in a shipwreck off Pembrey in South Wales in 1828. She is buried in St. Iltyd's Church in Pembrey. Her story appears in Volume One of "Stories in Welsh Stone."

It wasn't deep it was a moving sand bank. The wreck was broken up by the waves and the locals scavanged its contents

Adeline was returning from the West Indies when the ship's captain mistook the Bristol Channel for the English Channel and ran aground on Cefn Sidan. The story is on page 60 of "Stories in Welsh Stone."
