Royal Gloom by An Marie Kalus
West Coast Eisteddfod Online Poetry Competition 2016
What If you're a tender flight
and I see only ghosts
amongst the night
that cry of cruelty forgotten?
What If I am not a treasure
and keep hidden thoughts
written with my secret letters
and my ink that nightmares
Your eyes would never see
the stars upon the sky,
the sky you think belongs to me.
I could never reach so high.
Will you order end of time
and stop my memories of sorrow?
Steal away this life of mine
and praise me in the grievous morrow.
