Bore da, Rhian! Thought I'd make a suggestion: in case it has escaped your attention, the US is a rather large place. :-D Perhaps if you gave the Americymru folks an idea of your itinerary, the folks along your path would notice, and be encouraged to make arrangements to meet you. As it stands, your "travelling the US" sounds rather nebulous. So tell us: where might you be found "around late August"?

I have to agree. For 700 years, the Anglo-Saxons have tried to sweep Welsh culture out of existence, and the church before them, and the Romans before that. One must start somewhere, and if we have to re-invent Celtic and druid and Welsh, it will be well worth the effort. Too much has been lost already, but the effort to persist in spite of it all remains strong in many. Can you feel the hiraeth to the marrow? I can.BendithionBrian

I think the fellow who suggested that they did this on purpose to create an internet stir overlooks the fact that the folks at FB aren't probably that smart.Here is what I posted on FB and sent it as well to their "Suggestions" feed: "Just because a company can put a website together doesn't mean they are geniuses... the current insult to the Welsh is a prime example of a lack of thought, editing, and education. It has been long known that the state of geography education in this country (USA) is deplorable, but one would think that the educated folks at FB would have been paying attention in that class in grade school. Those persons who made this error need to apologize to all concerned and correct this monumental mistake asap."
