WHAT IS THE BEST BIOGRAPHY ON OWAIN GLYNDWR?

General Discussions ( Anything Goes )

Not quite sure what indigenous Welsh status is! Sian is a very knowledgeable lady - why not get in touch? She did a marvellous review of myOG novels!

Yes: sorry, that was off the top of my head and I got the title wrong. You might also like to read Alex Gibbon's "The Mystery of Jack of Kent and the Fate of Owain Glyndwr". Interesting premise and well worth reading ~ make up your own mind, however!

J E Lloydand R RDavies arethe best: however, the Skidmore one is great ~ he's a Scudamore descendant and great value because of his enthusiasm.I spent two years researching the subject before I wrote a fictional word ~ and now have to do it all over again for part three!

Researching my novels on OG I found Geoffrey hodges, J E Lloyd and Ian Skidmore's books very useful. Skidmore's is the easiest to read and if you also want to view the War of Independence geographically, you might also try Chris Barber's "Glyndwr's Way". If you Google Embassy GYndwr you will find that the Meibion Glyndwr are still active in honouring and protecting his name and legacy!
