Yes we have a new plaque in place now too. Ive posted some amazing pics of her landing in the harbour on the page. A lovely piece of history for the town.

Firstly, I do hope members won't think im just 'barging in' to advertise a page on Facebook but I have some exciting news from west Wales. Not so long ago I created a page on Facebook called "Memories of Burry Port" (my hometown.) It has sine grown to almost 600 members, who have turned it into much more than a regular 'pictures page', with locals adding stories and sharing memories of growing up in west Wales.
Whats more, we are currently in the early stages of planning a big street party for next year (that some local media are also interested in.) It certainly has revived the hwyl here. The pagehas a real community spirit about it, a spirit I believe could only be born out of a small Welsh town.

The prog 'Welsh Greats' is on television tonight, and features the late great Ryan Davies. Whenever I listen to his version of Myfanwy I get goose pimples.

Well after Ireland's fantastic win against the english earlier, We (Wales of course) could have won the championship had we beated France but watching it now with ten minutes to go and the score being Wales 9 France 28 my heart is indeed down in the dumps. Im praying for a miracle.
