Yes we have a new plaque in place now too. Ive posted some amazing pics of her landing in the harbour on the page. A lovely piece of history for the town.

Firstly, I do hope members won't think im just 'barging in' to advertise a page on Facebook but I have some exciting news from west Wales. Not so long ago I created a page on Facebook called "Memories of Burry Port" (my hometown.) It has sine grown to almost 600 members, who have turned it into much more than a regular 'pictures page', with locals adding stories and sharing memories of growing up in west Wales.

Whats more, we are currently in the early stages of planning a big street party for next year (that some local media are also interested in.) It certainly has revived the hwyl here. The pagehas a real community spirit about it, a spirit I believe could only be born out of a small Welsh town.
