I have no idea -- since it isn't polite to ask a lady her age, I thought better of asking -- but the tree is over 16 feet around just above the root bole, and I am fairly certain that has to be around 300 years old. It is the largest tree in an oval grove of eight canyon live oaks, in a conifer forest.
Gwarcheidwad Dderwen Canion o'r Llwyn Swynedigand it is far more rooted than I am (me on the right)... hehe
A sessile oak?
