Great...send us details of the exhibition or post as an event or blog post. We'll be more than happy to help spread the word Agreed on the art thing....I know reactions to art are subjective and we all supply our own context and meaning but now and again as you rightly say, it's good to be TOLD what the painting/sculpture etc is all about.
Ceri, thank you, appreciate the support, putting Welsh history out there through art and engaging interest is so important. art for arts sake is kool but art with a meaning is also Kool! got the workshops with the community this weekend and the next, Exhibition on the 10th of November is armistice day. And the day i show the sculpture i am doing for the community.
Hi Ceri, Mynyddoedd y Preseli Member of Parliament Stephen Crabb, set up and came over to the Somme in France to support my art project getting children involved with art and history, showing the amount of Welsh who died in the Great war. Soil was taken from Mametz Wood (huge Welsh losses here to take this haunting place) with children from the schools in Albert to give me soil in a WW1 shel found at Mametz. MP Stephen Crabb came over for the ceremony in Albert. The project is still on going with me making a sculpture for the town of Neyland in Pembrokeshire and i have the schools involved and Colleges.
Thank you Ceri, will send you pictures of the events.
