An award-winning former journalist, public relations consultant, professor and broadcaster Barrie is now writing novels--nail-biting thrillers with a historical twist, to be exact. Born in Wales (where much of the books are set) he has lived in Washinton (well, actually N. VA), Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Toronto. He moved to Canada with his family when he was 10. He attended Ryerson University in Toronto (Journalism) and after stints at newspapers and magazines in both Canada and the US, he opened his own PR agency which he ran successfully for 18 years. He was an adjunct professor in the School of Media Studies at Humber College and also at the University of Guelph-Humber in Toronto. Now he lives and writes either in Wales (where two of the books were partly written) or the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay, north of Toronto.

Croeso Barrie ...croeso i AmeriCymru. Ceri from Portland Oregon here, formerly from Cardiff south Wales. My partner Gaabriel and I set up this site nine years ago as a social site for the Welsh, ex-pats and persons of Welsh descent from around the world. Since then it has grown enormously and we have many plans for future development. Please don't hesitate to use the many features on the site ...blogs, photos, forums etc to socialise and communicate with other members of the Welsh 'daiaspora'. Once again....Croeso! :)
