mo - not

  • mo - not

mo is a contraction of ddim o

ddim must be followed by o when used to negate a  definite noun-phrase/pronoun. Ddim o contracts to mo . e.g.

    Welais i ddim yr arwyddbost .  becomes   Welais i mo'r arwyddbost . ( I didn't see the signpost.)

In the spoken language it doesn't always contract. You will hear Welais i ddim o'r arwyddbost . But it still needs the o'r .
