St. David’s Day Parade scheduled
On Saturday, March 1st, Columbus Junction will host a St. David’s Day Parade and Feast of St. David. The parade will start under the viaduct at 1 pm and end at the American Legion where participants celebrate the Feast of St. David with Lobsgows. Please wear red for Wales and either carry banners with your Welsh name or put them on the vehicle you are riding in. Welsh flags would also be nice. This event is only for people of Welsh descent, relatives of people of Welsh descent and people who wish they were of Welsh descent. If anyone can help,or donate food or money, please contact Troy Pugh as soon as possible at 563-299-2472 or troypugh@machlink.com. Please R.S.V.P. to Troy so he can get a head count for the food. Columbus Junction Iowa is a town of about 2500 people. Last year we had over 200 people at the event. I thought that was a very good turn out for the size of the community.
