Looked at both your websites:

My comments would be:
Bardinbed Dot Com : excellent picture but the use of text fails
White writing works fine over the main phtogrpah - but the dark grey gets lost and cannot be read ( using Chrome on PC Wndows XP and 7 )
Seems you have not developed any links on this page so cannot really offer any further suggestions

Main Page looks good - but only when on full screen
I tend to have my browser at 3/4 width and the page does not allow the right hand text to be read
it is defaulted to the full size only .. I personally do not like the orange background for the lettering - it makes it distinct but I think that either the whole back should be single colour - or you let the white writing show on the dark background

Video links all work well and love the poetry

Is it possible to get the Welsh word of the day emailed automatically to subscribers? I get the Esperanto word of the day emailed to me daily, and it would be very convenient if you could send the Welsh word that way. Glad you're taking this project on. Best wishes for 2013! Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!
