Hi, All,

Many of you know that I am on the Board of the Great Plains Welsh Heritage Centre in Wymore, NE. We are trying to put more life in our FB page and could use more "Likes". If you have a minute, would you take a look and "Like" us and invite your friends, too?: It is just "Great Plains Welsh Heritage Centre". Thanks!

:) We have a Board meeting the end of Sept., but that wouldn't be much fun. Our next big event will be in Jan. for St. Dwynwen--if the weather is good, that would be a nice time to come and bring your lady. I am sure you are a lot closer than I am. It is 600 miles each way for me. I'll try to remind you. Macsen doesn't always go with me and I have temporarily misplaced Dewi (!) so I have been toting Dwynwen (she's purple) with me. But, the dragons are fussy--they only drink Penderyn. BTW--we have always had cats--we have 2 now.

The Centre is totally volunteer-run, from the grounds, to vacuuming, to making and serving tea, doing the newsletters, maintaining and accessioning the collections, organizing the festivals and events, etc., etc. Even though I am on the Board, I live so far away that it is the local people who bear the brunt of the day-to-day labor. It is really amazing when you think about it. We have had scholars come from Wales to use our Archives for researching and they have said they found things there they could not find anywhere else!

Thanks for your encouragement, Swansea. But,I am still not sharing my cwrw! :)
