You say Llandaf, I say Llandaff--cast your vote!
Twosigns welcoming visitors to a historic Cardiff suburb vanished after Welsh-language campaigners insisted: Theres only one f in Llandaff.
The 2,000 signs were unveiled on March 2 by the Llandaff Society featuring only the anglicised version of the word. That reads: Llandaff.
But 16 complaints to City Hall then insisted that if only one version of the name was used it should be the Welsh version Llandaf. So overnight the council confiscated the signs, just weeks after giving them the thumbs-up.

It shows a pie chart of votes and below it is a map of the US showing which states voted which way! Get you vote in. BTW--after I did my research, I went and re-voted for "Llandaf" twice--once to cancel my first vote and once to cast my new vote. Wisconsin is now firmly going for "Llandaf"!
I wonder if UK voters see a map of the UK? Anyone care to enlighten us?
Well, now, once again, I've been forced to look something up--who says Americymru isn't educational? The River Taff is Afon Taf in Welsh--so Llandaf appears to be correct:
Afon Taf--'taf' is an old name with similar origins to the name 'tawe'
Afon Tawe / River Tawe--'tawe' is an old name possibly signifying still and deep flowing.

Be that as it may, the town was built around the church on the river Taff, that's "Llandaff" in Welsh and there's no other way around it.
If you live in Wales you say what you like...that is entirely a matter for the indigenous population. There is no correctitude
I lived there for 44 years...so do all my family...it's Llandaf...the population of Cardiff will not be overruled
I agree with 2 fs, but I'm not a native speaker. I just voted at it's 65% for 1 f and 35% for 2. Now I will have to pronounce it "Llandav".
