Mutton Tump / Rhondda Marauders
There was a time when sheep would wander down from the hills and winter in the streets of the valleys. During the General Strike of 1926 food was scarce and one street in Cwmparc - Chepstow Road - became known as Mutton Tump; sheep would wander in there but very few wandered out again.
