This article is from the Carmarthen Journal of 30 May. The power firm's website is www.rwe.com
I'm sure it should have been your drawing - Americymru is overlooking its own Pythagoras. If you go back to Monday's comments, you can see the link to the pictures of Mynydd y Gwair.
Nothing to do with me! Some of the pics I posted of Mynydd y Gwair (not my own of course) in a previous comment might deserve top photo rating though. No one has commented on those.
Thanks for that, SJ. You really know your hypotenuse, don't you?
If anyone is unaware of the beauty of the Mynydd y Gwair area currently threatened by a wind turbine farm, have a look at the pictures here: www.socme.org/imagecr1.html
Morriston may be nearby with its glamorous DVLA building (yes, I'm being sarcastic)but the countryside is really lovely.
I've re-read the article and I've realised that the screening by trees refers to the wind turbine proposed by DJ Davies Fuels at Blaenau. How a 250ft wind turbine could be screened by trees is a moot point and I wonder if it would be worth asking them! www.djdaviesfuels.co.uk
I know, that is one thing that puzzled me too!
Question:In the above article it is claimed that the proposed wind farm would be screened by trees. How do you screen a wind farm with trees? If they are close enough and tall enough to the turbines would they not also act as a wind break?
