Welsh soul food

Promoting Wales in the USA

People drink a LOT of tea in Wales and while traditionally there have been no specifically Welsh teas, in recent years we have witnessed the introduction of brews like Paned Cymreig http://www.welshbrewtea.co.uk/ to the market. These are very good and best accompanied imho with a bakestone ( welshcake ) or two. Welshcakes are pretty basic but easy to make and surprisingly addictive.Of course this is a snack and there is more to Welsh cuisine.

In 1997??? we won...just about I'll bet you a pint at the Eisteddfod that the Yes vote wins by at least 10%.

Agrees with Swansea except for the 'most people' part. The polls are all agreed......it looks like a win this time round

Welsh referendum March the 3d

Promoting Wales in the USA

This and other reports suggest that the referrendum measure to give the Senedd law-making powers will pass by a two to one majority:- http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/2011/03/01/67-will-vote-yes-in-referendum-says-poll-91466-28252921/

Nigel Dix of True Wales is advising Yes campaigners not to begin celebrating yet , however, because:- Back in 1997 there were polls showing a clear lead to the Yes campaign in the final days before the vote, but in the end there was a Yes majority of only 0.6%. The fact that this is the best scenario that he can envisage with which to rally his supporters says a lot more about his confidence than anything else. BUT in a sense he is right...there is no room for complacency. AmeriCymru would like to take this opportunity to urge all it's members and supporters in Wales to turn out and vote 'Yes For Wales' tomorrow. For those of us who live elsewhere....email a friend back home and urge them to do the right thing :)

You are fine :) No better place for a discussion than in the discussion section. I note from your home page that you are a poet and writer. Do you have a web page?
