I lived in South Wales durring the Minings Strike ...... HARD TIMES FOR MANY OF MY FRIENDS IN THE VALLEYS ........... Great song by Mike ,,, he wrote the song on a trip to S Wales, round that time !!!!!! Dont think the Valley will ever recover...... it was like ripping the Heart & Soul out of the place !!!! we should thank the Miners who put their lives on the line every day down the PIT !

i can remember that strike like it was yesterday ,the very name of thatcher is enough to raise the hackles on any welshmans neck still ! her legacy to wales is the bitterness that endures to this day geraint hughes sierra vista az
