Hi, what are some instructions for starting the Welsh bagpipes? I have a type of bagpipes that I can't find instructions for on the web. There are no drone pipes on this set. There is a tuning pipe that is tuned by sliding wooden biscuits up and down the pipe. These pipes don't require as much wind power as most pipes, and they are not as loud. Thank you for your assistance, if you know about this type of bagpipe.

Good to hear from you on the site, Ray.As you know many of the Breton bagads use highland pipes. Moch Pryderi now has a book collection of 101 Welsh and breton tunes transposed and notated for the highland bagpipes.Bob RoserMoch Pryderi

Greetings Gafin,I'd love to see (and hear) the Seivane Cymru pipes. l look forward to a web link. Also, I'd LOVE to buy a copy of Taran's album. I have been listening to your samples on MySpace for months now and REALLY like what you are doing. Is the album available as an mp3 download anywhere on the web? Buying physical CDs from Europe here in the states is a costly business. Please let me know how I can get hold of it - you deserve supporting!- Ray

Hello all who are interested. As someone who makes his living as a bagpiper, I'd love to share a discussion on Pibau Cymreig, Pibgorn and bagpipes in general.I have many friends who play the Pibau Cymreig and Pibgorn - Antwyn from Carreg Lafar, Ceri from Fernhill and Jonathan from Taran included. I don't own either, but when the economy gets better, I intend to buy a Pibau. My pipes are the Breton "veuze" and the "English border bagpipe." Here's a photograph of my "Sonneurs de Couple" (myself on veuze and my partner in crime Barry Hall on the bombarde or rustic oboe), both instruments are LOUD!
