Last month I had an article published on the Ingenious Britain (a small business organisation that publishes a quarterly magazine as a Sunday Telegraph supplement) website about my recent change in career direction. I'm currently equity-crowdfunding a new business venture and the article covered how the venture came about and how I've had to switch roles within the film industry...

When I began producing my short film The Final Punchline in April 2011 I assumed that my career path would mirror that of others - producing the film, shopping it at festivals, and using it as a "calling card" on the way to making features. Instead of that, conversations with sales agents, a growing network of buyers and an accident with the dreaded "reply all" button formed a chain of events that has resulted in me crowdfunding a new venture - Seraphim Entertainment - to sell other people's short films around the world....
