I wish they were moving up. We will have to wait until May. On that topic, the rules for promotion and relegation in the Championship League are as follows:

Top two automatically promoted; next four compete in the playoffs, with the winner gaining the third promotion spot. The bottom three are relegated.

Just to get the 'ball rolling' I will declare myself as a Bluebirds fan who is hoping that the team makes it into the Premier League this time around. Given their uncanny ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory I will not be placing any bets. But I refuse to abandon hope

" Cardiff manager Mackay and his Bluebirds have four big Championship fixtures before they turn to the FA Cup. They are at Leicester this Saturday and also play Crystal Palace at home on Boxing Day, Millwall, also at home, the following Saturday and then Birmingham City away on New Years Day."
