I carved this Welsh Lovespoon from poplar and finished it with walnut oil. The dominant symbols are the diamond (prosperity) and the heart (love). Prosperity doesn't necessarily mean just in wealth. It can also mean the growth of love in the relationship symbolized by the flower and leaves which is a wax inlay. The top of the spoon is covered in dragon skin to serve as protection for the relationship. The rosettes represent the wheels of life of the partners now brought together. Your partner will appreciate the emotional message contained in this spoon.
